Eric & Emily's Harvey Gap Wedding at Crack in the Wall Gallery

Eric and Emily’s sweet wedding on September 30th was held at a new venue for us! The Crack in the Wall Gallery near Harvey Gap was a beautiful spot and perfect for this couple. We began planning Eric and Emily’s wedding almost a year ago to their wedding date. Our planning started and ended on Facebook Messenger and I loved that! Each couple I work with likes to communicate in different ways. Some text everything, others love to chat on the phone, and I find that most actually love that face to face meeting - even if it is on FACETIME! Technology really helps us be flexible and connect with our couples in whatever way is best for them.

The day of the wedding we arrived at The Crack in the Wall and it began pouring rain. The sky opened up and did not stop! I loved that. I think that rain on your wedding day is good luck! It is God sprinkling sweet love on you. We talked with Emily the whole morning as we had our weather apps out following the storm to see what the plan would be. Even with an outdoor ceremony there are always options if it rains!

Luckily the rain let up just in time for their ceremony, so we quickly wiped down all the seats and got everyone down the aisle! With Emily’s sister officiating, the couple officially married in a sweet ceremony on the lawn. After that, the rain was gone the rest of the reception!

Eric and Emily decorated their day in Eggplant, Spring White and Earl Grey colors which were perfectly suited for their venue and the season. Friends helped with the table decorations and it looked beautiful! Their cake cutting was totally “them” - with Eric changed back into his comfortable clothes and Emily getting warm in that fur vest! These are the moments when planning a wedding that you wait for!
